We’re never going to tackle the big issues like environmental protection and the high street unless we change the system. This is a rare opportunity, don’t miss it.

If you want MPs to actually represent you, tell them by signing our petition. The petition asks candidates in the upcoming election to sign our democractic pledge. Once a candidate signs the pledge they are committed to giving people power should they win at the election.
Find out who the people power candidates are in your area and vote for them. We want to get at least 10, hopefully many more, MPs elected on 7th May who have signed the MyMP pledge.
Once elected we will work with people power MPs to support them in overhauling how they do their job over the next 5 years. We will help them give more power to their constituents through new technology and community organising skills.
This is the first time in my adult life I am actually interested in politics. It’s a new way of ‘doing’ politics that is void of ego – it’s centred on the how, not the who. The fact that any political party is able to use the concept is really exciting.

Updating our parliamentary democracy for the 21st Century is one of the most pressing and important challenges we face today, and MyMP is an important contribution to that.

The present political system is not fit for purpose, and makes a mockery of the word Democracy. It’s time our politicians represented us, this is what we pay them to do, and it’s our money they are spending. I will not be voting for any candidate who does not sign this pledge.

In liberal democracies across the world people feel disconnected from their elected representatives and democratic processes. MyMP is a bold new proposal that seeks to utilise accessible digital tools to reinvigorate the engagement of voters and enhance civic participation.

MyMP is the most important initiative in British politics today because it offers the only serious and honest attempt to put real power in the hands of the voters. I’m proud to be backing the campaign

Just because I voted labour or conservative does not mean that I want to go to war, but ‘Tony’ did not ask us and our MP at the time abstained. This has to change!

We need to shake up the system and give people real power. Anything else will just mean more of the same. And for me, if you’re not changing the system, you’re part of the problem.
